Which Versions of OS X are Supported

With the release of Mac OS X Big Sur getting closer we thought we would update you with our progress on the compatibility of the Perfect Diet Tracker and all OS X systems.

Due to updates we have to make to support all the features in OS X Big Sur, the next release of the Perfect Diet Tracker will now work on the following systems:

  • OS X 10.9: “Mavericks”
  • OS X 10.10: “Yosemite”
  • OS X 10.11: “El Capitan”
  • OS X 10.12: “Sierra”
  • OS X 10.13: “High Sierra”
  • OS X 10.14: “Mojave”
  • OS X 10.15: “Catalina”
  • OS X 11.0: “Big Sur”

The two things to note from this release are:

  1. The latest version of the Perfect Diet Tracker will no longer support for 10.8 Mountain Lion (2012), but do not worry, existing versions will continue to work.
  2. As you will see, Big Sur makes the jump to OS X 11 (from 10). This is a big milestone and represents a change in the type of chip Apple use inside the Mac. During the transition stage and despite a lot of testing we do anticipate there will be some issues so if you come across something, anything, just let us know.

OS X Big Sur represents a big step in the evolution of Mac OS X and we are proud to still be able to write diet tracking software for Mac OS X over a decade since we started writing for it.

Thank you for your continued support!
