With the release of Mac OS X Big Sur getting closer we thought we would update you with our progress on the compatibility of the Perfect Diet Tracker and all OS X systems.
Due to updates we have to make to support all the features in OS X Big Sur, the next release of the Perfect Diet Tracker will now work on the following systems:
- OS X 10.9: “Mavericks”
- OS X 10.10: “Yosemite”
- OS X 10.11: “El Capitan”
- OS X 10.12: “Sierra”
- OS X 10.13: “High Sierra”
- OS X 10.14: “Mojave”
- OS X 10.15: “Catalina”
- OS X 11.0: “Big Sur”
The two things to note from this release are:
- The latest version of the Perfect Diet Tracker will no longer support for 10.8 Mountain Lion (2012), but do not worry, existing versions will continue to work.
- As you will see, Big Sur makes the jump to OS X 11 (from 10). This is a big milestone and represents a change in the type of chip Apple use inside the Mac. During the transition stage and despite a lot of testing we do anticipate there will be some issues so if you come across something, anything, just let us know.
OS X Big Sur represents a big step in the evolution of Mac OS X and we are proud to still be able to write diet tracking software for Mac OS X over a decade since we started writing for it.
Thank you for your continued support!
