{"id":36,"date":"2020-03-29T11:21:22","date_gmt":"2020-03-29T11:21:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.perfectdiettracker.com\/helpdesk\/?p=36"},"modified":"2020-09-11T16:13:56","modified_gmt":"2020-09-11T16:13:56","slug":"the-edit-menu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/perfectdiettracker.com\/support\/the-edit-menu\/","title":{"rendered":"The &#8216;Edit&#8217; Menu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"LessonContent\">\n<div class=\"LessonSummary\">\n<p>The following options are available in the Edit menu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Food search (Find)<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Selecting food search allows you to search for a food product to add to the diary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Add food from your favorites \/ favourites<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>This option will display a window with foods you have previously entered into your daily diary.<\/p>\n<p>This can be a fast way to select foods you eat on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Add food from a group<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>This option will show the groups and recipe manager. The manager lets you create a new group or recipe, add and remove items from the group, and insert all, or a portion size (for example 1\/8th) into the daily diary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Add exercise<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Add exercise lets you add activities to the diary. Activities can increase your calorie allowance, but should only be added where they are in addition to your activity level selected during setup.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to change your current activity level please refer to the &#8216;change your goals&#8217; section in the options menu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Duplicate selected<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Duplicate selected creates a duplicate (copy) of the currently selected item in the diary.<\/p>\n<p>This can be either food or exercise, and once duplicated you can double click on the item to change the quantity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Delete selected<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Delete selected removes the currently selected item from the diary. You can also do this by selecting an item and using the delete key.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Copy<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Copy places a copy of the currently selected item in the clipboard.<\/p>\n<p>You can also use the copy item to copy food items between days and even between users.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Paste<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Paste will paste the contents of the clipboard into the currently selected field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Clear<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>Clear empties the currently selected box.<\/p>\n<p>Clear does not delete a food item from your diary, for this use delete instead.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h3 class=\"StepTitle\">Update history<\/h3>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>23 October 2009: Updated groups entry for version 3.2<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following options are available in the Edit menu.
