You have less energy, stop losing weight and plateau. Just what you want to avoid when trying to lose weight! Guidelines specify a minimum daily calorific intake of 1800 calories for males and 1200 calories for females.<\/p>\n<p>It is a common misconception that eating a lot less will result in a faster weight loss, in some cases eating more may help you. You should always aim to eat your daily calorie allowance.<\/p>\n<p>If you find the software is limiting your weight loss consider increasing your activity level as this will in turn increase your daily calorie allowance.<\/p>\n<p>If your doctor recommends a lower calorie diet you can swap to the direct entry method and enter the target provided by your doctor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h2 class=\"StepTitle\">Do I need a separate license for the Windows and Mac versions?<\/h2>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>No, if you change your computer from a Windows PC to an Apple Mac or Linux system (or vice-versa) you will be able to take your Perfect Diet Tracker with you.<\/p>\n<p>Simply select the &#8216;backup&#8217; option located in the File menu to backup your data, install the software on the new computer and restore the backup to transfer your data to the new machine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"LessonStep top\">\n<h2 class=\"StepTitle\">What are the differences between the Mac, Windows and Linux versions?<\/h2>\n<div class=\"StepInstructions\">\n<p>There are no significant differences between platforms, all the functions you find on the Mac version are also present in the Windows version.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are a few questions and answers we get asked that do not have a home elsewhere in the help site.
